Free Directory Submitter.

The first marketing step I would suggest for ANY website is to submit it to the top 400 Link Directories.

Submitting to directories my not be the best method to get traffic to your website but what it will do is create incoming links otherwise known as backlinks.

Search Engines start in these places and find your website through the links you place in them creating a 'foundation' other links will build upon.

Without any exceptions I have submitted all of the numerous websites I have built throughout my on-line marketing career. It is a necessary step we all should take first thing after registering our domain and creating our site regardless of the traffic returns. We are not doing this for traffic we are doing this for Search Engine Optimization, otherwise known as SEO.

When looking for a product, service, home business, widget maker or whatever info offered on the internet, the first place people will go to look for that info is the Search Engines. It is the most commonly used, most targeted, and the most powerful source of traffic. Next to e-mail, search engines are the number #1 starting point for all interaction on the internet.

Getting your pages ranked is the most important thing you will ever do. It is a tedious, time consuming process but it must be done. The longer you wait, the more chance your internet business is going to end up out of the first 100 pages on Google, Yahoo, and other search engines.

If you follow all my processes for getting traffic and your link out there you should do much better than the first 100 pages. Hopefully much of your exposure would be in first 10 pages if not on the first page for niche specific material.

If you are a promoting an MLM or Affiliate company through an URL redirect there is not any reason you should not be on the first pages using the Traffic Master System.

I am not trying to brag here. I am just trying to give you incentive to follow my lead so you can achieve the same results for your own business. The proof is in the pudding. Success attracts success. If someone is doing something that is working chances are they may just know what they are doing.

Starting with the directories is the first step. I would love to tell you that was the last step and it was as easy as that but of course it is not. If it were that easy then everyone would just do that and we would all be at square one again.

It is a combination of all my systems that will determine the success of your on-line business.

Some of my systems generate instant traffic, lots of it. Others generate very targeted traffic with high conversion rates. While the main function of others, Directory Submission included, is to get you up there in the search engine ranked prominently where you will get the highest quantity, quality,targeted and highest conversion traffic available on the internet outside of word-of-mouth.

You will never be able to submit to all the link directories out there so instead what you want to do is to submit to the directories that have the highest Alexa page ranking. Even with this weeding out process you will still find the number of submissions you will be making for each site will be between 400 and 500. In other words, this is not a quick task. It is tedious, boring and time consuming.

Thankfully I have a link to some free software to help you through this process. Without software to keep you up to date on the top sites and to help you auto-fill your content, you could start today and you would still be posting to these sites months from now.

At one time the cost for this software was quite substantial, developers know what people need and they know when they can get away with charging top bucks for it.

My views on Groups Marketing ie. Yahoo Groups, Google Groups, MSN Groups.

I have been using groups as part of my own promotional campaigns since the very beginning of my on-line marketing career three years ago. I had stopped once just because of how time consuming they can be and I really did notice a difference in my stats so I resumed using them.

Although Groups will bring you great reliable traffic be careful with these.

Only post in related Groups and do not spam any board. You do not want to work so hard to build up your promotion only to have it shut down due to spam reports. Companies have very strict policies on spam and will not hesitate to shut down an affiliate Url that is getting spam reports. Before joining a new group I spend some time looking over the group to see what type of posts are currently being posted. I carefully read over the description of the groups and check out the 'about this group' link to be sure these groups are free for everyone to post and what the restrictions are, if any.

I personally promote to more than 600 affiliate advertising safe groups about 4 or 5 times a week. I do receive traffic to my websites from these posts but what these groups do best is to help create 'backlinks'. Backlinks are simply links from other place directed to your website. What do back links do exactly? They improve your search engine ranking this is also known as Search Engine Optimization SEO. These links also get individually spidered by the search engines and your ad will show up when and if someone is doing research on a company or just looking for info in general.

Hint: Play around with popular keyword search items. The words scam, review, success, fraud, new, lucrative, profitable are highly searched words. I suggest you try to work this into the information of your ads. People are online looking to see if thier program they are signing up for is legit. So they might type something like..."Is E4L.biz a scam?"as their search criteria. You are covered. If you question if this actually works. Google E4L.biz into your web browser now and you will see how many of my adverts are on the first 5 pages. If you google E4L.biz and Scam you will see I have many of the listing on the first page titled "E4L.biz 100% scam free" , my group postings being in the number 2 position. There are 60000 members in this company!

Hint 2: Word your ad into an article. This is an example of a Subject heading that will get indexed and searched, "Are MLM on-line companies legit or Just Scam Pyramid Schemes". In fact if you type that into your browser you will see my ads! In the end I write about how to distinguish between a legit business and a scam and give an example...the example of course is the company I promote.

Of course I have been intrigued by Group Submitters for quite some time now as you can imagine posting to groups can be very time consuming especially when you are mass posting which is most effective.

I have payed for and tried a couple that have produced very poor results. I don't believe in using trackers with Groups because of the SEO value that groups hold but I did send out a few days worth of posting to these submitters just to test the results. My results? A big zero! I did searches fr my tracking URL which should show up in the search engines within a week. Nothing. My obvious conclusion? They weren't working.

In fact the only positive review I have found on any Group Mailer was from a company called GroupMailers. Apparantly this company sends out ads from their server but you have to join each group and post with your user name. Somehow this makes sense to me. The cost of Groups Mailer is $15 every month.

Hello? This is Spam Calling... is There Anybody Home?

Yes! Yes! I am here.

Of course we all know that 95% of spam isn't really spam as we somehow somewhere inadvertently signed up for something, gave our e-mail address to get that fabulous free thing, or wanted to get inside information only available if we gave our precious personal info and now we are part of the list. The secret is in the list and as hard as we try to collect we find ourselves at weak moments being the ones who are collected.

Well you know what? It's okay.

There is a way we can use this so called not-spam spam to our advantage. Think about these messages this way. A salesperson comes to your door selling "Fuller Brushes" but he does not realize that he has knocked on the door of the "Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner" salesperson and he will soon be leaving with a vacuum in tow. Perhaps now he will be selling, along with his excellent brushes, excellent vacuum cleaners.

Yes. These non-spam spam messages are basically like people knocking on your door wanting to buy from you. They are already marketing. They are our target audience! They know the language and they are working the biz. If you have a great promotion that makes money they 'want' to know about it. Bottom line is ...we are all here to make money.

So the next time you see these so called 'spam' messages be sure to take a look at the e-mail address sending it. Is this a real user, a mass mailer or phishing site? If it is a real user re-package that spam add your promotion and send it right back! Be sure to add their e-mail address to your mailing list as well. Keep the original message with the IP and timestamp as proof of your future non-spam. I generally create a folder labeled 'mailing list' to direct these to just in case of future accusation.

Tell them how much you love their brushes and you will definitely consider them but in the meantime be sure they leave with a brochure on vacuum cleaners.

Oh yes and even if you have all this info in order to be 100% non spam accusable you must comply to the CAN-SPAM act...http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.shtm

I am not condoning spam. Sending unsolicited e-mail without permission is a federal offence.

I am condoning list building. Which is gathering a list of people with their permission to share in your marketing experiences, newsletters and endeavors.

Always be sure to add all the proper info to our mailers and always give an opt-out resource and comply to it! The secret is in the list! So guys go forth and build....and when that e-mail comes knocking at your door welcome it with open arms full of what you have to offer!

Today I am going to let you in on a Traffic Master little secret.

You will get more traffic from your P.S. line that you will from your main advertisment.

When sending out to your lists be sure to add a P.S. at the end of your advert. In fact your advert does not have to be an advert at all in fact it could just be a tip or some advice. I have tested this over and over with an ad tracking system and my P.S. lines always get about 400% more click-throughs than my main ads.

In fact why not add two or three P.S. lines? Don't forget you can put P.S. lines on the end of classifieds, group and forum posts as well.

Patting myself on the back!

Okay I did it once again. I got my affiliate promotion ranked above the actual site promotion in Google. I love it when this happens.

One of my affiliate endeavors is a YouTube popularity software called "the Tubeinator".

Type "the tubeinator" into Google search engine. My squidoo page is ranked #2 position while the Tubeinator site remains at number #3!

Adam Beazley has the number one position...with his Traffic Blog entry. Have I mentioned anything before about blogging and and creating a Traffic Blog? : )

I am not sure how long this will last but I have been doing some experimenting with Squidoo lenses (lenses are what they call their pages) as I see them all over Google.

Well I have come to the obvious conclusion that Squidoo works! This lense has been up on squidoo for less than a week. Look forward to my next Web 2.0 blog article on "How to Squidoo". Another Traffic Master Web 2.0 solution for getting traffic, ranking and making money all at the same time!
